It’s that time of year again when we stop to give thanks for our many blessings and think of ways we can help others who aren’t as fortunate as ourselves. At Lyme Road Dental it’s one of our favorite times of the year. Not only because we love our community, but because we have so much fun participating in our different charitable events as a team.
Are you looking for a way to express your thanks for all you have by giving to someone else? Here are a few causes we support that you might want to consider during this season of giving.
Winter Coat Drive
We just finished our Winter Coat Drive which we have in partnership with Kleen Laundry. During October and November, we accepted donations of gently worn coats of any size at our collection box in the office. These were delivered to Kleen Laundry where they were cleaned and then distributed to the those in need in our local area.
As usual, we had great support from our patients and neighbors and we want to thank all of you for your generosity!
CHaD Hero Day
Another very worthy cause very close to our hearts is being a CHad Hero. The CHaD Hero is a fun and inspiring fundraising event. 100% of the CHaD HERO proceeds fund critical child and family support services at Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD), including the Child Life Program, Molly’s Place, and the Child Advocacy & Protection Program.
What an amazing and heartfelt day for our entire team the most recent event was, as we suited up and did our small part to support the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth by participating in the 5K run.
Our day started out so wonderfully as a little boy ran up to Dr. Paul and said: “I’m a Chad kid, what’s your name?” “Dr Paul,” he answered. “I love you, Dr. Paul,” he exclaimed & gave Blue Bear Batman a huge hug. He let us take a team picture with him before he took off to revel in his CHaD Hero Day.
Because of your generous support for our fundraising efforts we were able to exceed our fundraising goal and send a very generous donation in support of these deserving children and families.
Toys for Tots
Our office is also having its annual Toys for Tots drive. Toys for Tots collects new, unwrapped toys during October, November, and December each year, and distributes those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community. By providing a new toy at Christmas, we hope to share a message of hope with less fortunate youngsters. If you would like to give a toy to a deserving child this year, just drop your unwrapped gift by our office.
We want to thank everyone again for their generosity. And we encourage everyone to add to the meaning of the season by finding a way to give to others in your community so you too can experience the joy that comes from giving!
