Melissa

Practice Manager

I was born and raised in the Upper Valley and love living in this wonderful community. I’ve been married for 31 years to my amazing husband, Richard, and we have three incredible sons, Trevor, Patrick and Alex, and most recently a pretty special daughter-in-law, Liz.

Why did you choose dentistry?
I was having my teeth cleaned, and my childhood dentist was in a bind, offered me a position, and trained me on the job. I ended up loving dentistry and have never looked back! The best part of my job is meeting all of the fabulous people, of course!

What’s your previous experience?

  • Sterilization/Lab Assistant
  • Secondary Chairside Assistant
  • Patient Coordinator
  • Practice Manager – Current (28 Years!)

My education achievements:

  • Radiology Certification-New Hampshire Technical Institute
  • CPR Certification
  • Certificate for training on OSHA’s Hazard Communication
  • Standard, Disease Pathogens Standard and all applicable subparts of the OSHA regulations.

What do you do outside the office?
I LOVE to spend time with my family. Golfing, paddle boarding, skate skiing, board games and cards are many of the fun things we enjoy together. Walking with my BFFs. Cheering on my husband and his Hanover Marauder Hockey Teams

Who is your hero and why?
I’m blessed to have many heroes in my life. My amazing husband and incredible three sons. My father, mother, sisters and brother, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and my mother and father-in-law. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. My hockey family. My friends. My Lyme Road Dental family and so many of the special patients at LRD. ALL of these people have loved and supported me in one way or another over the years, but especially this past year as I have battled cancer. These people are ALL MY heroes!

What flavor of ice cream would you be?
Cappuccino Crunch. It perks you up, and the crunch is a special little treat.

I’ve been married to my husband, Michael, for 24 years! We have two children, Jordyn and Chase.

What lesson from mom do you still live by?
Life is not a dress rehearsal!

What flavor of ice cream would you be?
Almond Joy! Because it’s a combo of sweet (chocolate) and nutty (almonds)-like me!

Allyson

Dental Hygienist

I grew up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. An avid skier and hiker, you can usually find me North of the Franconia Notch. I ski raced for Colby-Sawyer College and have been an alpine racing coach with the Franconia Ski Club for the past decade.

Why did you choose dentistry?
When I was a kid, I spent a lot a time at the dentist’s office. Even when I was getting my teeth drilled and filled I was always interested in and curious about the “goings-on” of dentistry. I thought teeth were pretty cool, and my hygienist was sweet and seemed to really enjoy her job.

I like helping people who appreciate the value of good oral health and quality dentistry. The dental team that I am a part of at Lyme Road Dental makes it easy coming to work every day – they are all intelligent, hard-working, and kind individuals who know how to work really well together.

What’s your previous experience?

  • Part-time registered dental hygienist at Singh Family Dental, Plymouth, NH
  • Part-time registered dental hygienist at Bradford Dental Associates, Bradford, NH

My education achievements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Exercise and Sport Science with a focus in Sport Management from Colby-Sawyer College 2008
  • Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from New Hampshire Technical Institute 2011

What do you do outside the office?

I love skiing more than anything in the entire world. Boom. I also love live music.

Who is your hero?
Axl Rose circa 1987

What lesson from mom do you still live by?
One of my mom’s sayings I will never forget: “Better late in this life, than early in the next.” I think she was referring to not speeding in a car to make it somewhere on time, but I’ve fully embraced the saying and use it to make myself feel better when I’m running behind.

What flavor of ice cream would you be?
Ben and Jerry’s Cherry Garcia? Pretty chill and a little fruity.

Pamela

Dental Hygienist

My hometown is Sharon, Vermont and I love working in the Hanover community. I’ve been married to my husband, James, for 30 years! We have twin daughters, Elyza and Emily, who are both married.

Why did you choose dentistry?
My childhood dentist/orthodontist inspired me to pursue the dental field. I knew I wanted to be in the health field, but nursing was not for me. The relationships I’ve built with my co-workers and patients is the best part of my job at Lyme Road Dental.

What’s your previous experience?
I have been a Dental Hygienist for 31 years at Lyme Road Dental

My education achievements:

  • Graduate of the University of Vermont

What do you do outside the office?
Spending time with my family and friends and visiting our children in Dallas and Boston. I love to travel, camp, follow the Red Sox and New England Patriots. I even love going to the gym!

Who is your hero? Why?
My Dad. He was a loving, compassionate man that could make everyone feel special.

What lesson from mom do you still live by?
Be honest and kind. Dance when you get the chance.

What flavor of ice cream would you be?
Chocolate because who doesn’t love chocolate?

Amy

Certified Dental Assistant

I grew up in the twin states. After graduating from college, I married my high school sweetheart, and together we have a wonderful son.
